I agree AR, effort and attempting to play good football can't be questioned, lack of ability to put the ball in the net and continued errors by individuals at the back are our issues
Yep, we have two main flaws; we can't score goals, and we can't stop conceding them. Other than that, we're alright..
Has Pep said we are physical? If he has that’s the first rule for managing big teams. Get the referee onside so that when one of their players trips over the white line we will have someone booked/sent off.
Pep obviously forgotten 2 weeks ago Kompany should have been sent of in the first 30 seconds for his challenge on Lennon I believe.
To put Pep's comments in perspective....I have never heard a manager play down the opposition and admit his team will win without doubt. Guardiola must have lain awake at night trying to think of something positive to say about Saints and he deserves to be applauded.
I would have begrudgingly respected him so much more though, if he'd said " Southampton? We'll stuff that lot, they're rubbish".
I don't know why but as this game is getting closer I'm starting to believe that we could get something. I must be ****ing mental.
Two bets placed; 0-0, £2 @ 36 on Betfair, under 1.5 goals £5 @ 8.6 They could both be gone west by 3.05 tomorrow
I am happy to put money on the Man City v Saints score being 0-0 at 5:30 this afternoon. Now if only I can find a bookie who can't tell what day of the week it is.
I was, but I'm struggling to remember much about it, for some reason (memory banks subconsciously wiped, perhaps) I seem to recall that we were outclassed, but left the ground feeling like 3-0 was a bit harsh on us?
Yep I felt that. 2-0 was probably fair...the 3rd in injury time was too much for the effort we put in. We deserved to lose 100%, and were outclassed, but from memory we fought and the second half was better than the first
