There are lots of reasons to dislike McClean but he’s right on the poppy thing. No one should be made to wear one.
The red poppy was created to pay your respect for the soldiers that died for this country and protecting the rest of the World from Germany mainly. If a pacifist movement want to raise money for not going to war then that's fine, completely pointless because they will never be able to have any influence over governments but fine. It just seems a bit ****ish to use the same symbol at the same time of year to piggy back on a noble cause. It would be similar if pro abortion groups chose mothers day to spread awareness for women's choice to terminate pregnancy. If people are drawing a salary from either cause that is also wrong in my opinion.
I really could not see the ghetto gang merchants of London or the chavs in the Northern Cities volunteering for owt.. Wind and piss and a life full of waste..
James McClean probably hates England full stop but he will happily head over here to ply his trade. He's ****e anyway, found his niche at Stoke..
No, he doesn’t and has explained his position quite eloquently in the past, and also not so eloquently yesterday. People having the same pop at him year after year is dull.
There are loads of reasons to dislike the guy but it’s dumb to say he “hates the English” as that’s obviously wrong.
His teammates are English. Half the Irish team is English. His milkman is probably English. I doubt he hates them all purely for being English.
