I remember when there was all the talk about Enrique I was surprised at all the doom and gloom. I thought Shane would have been a shoo in.

I would agree, although I would have liked a more experienced left back in aswell. Ferguson should play there for sure for me, we also have a young lad called Paul Dummett who is an up and coming left back who I wouldn't be scared if played - as he looks really good!

I'm one for playing players in correct position and Ferguson should defo be number 1 left back

The Mackems? Sunderland? Historically part of County Durham?

On second thoughts I don't want to get into that one.:emoticon-0102-bigsm

Fraizer. Could have had Paul Robinson or David Stockdale in net but I thought Paddy Kenny was superb last season for QPR.

Right here goes, I'm a northern irish lad in the army who has always supported the toon, 1st game watched was when we beat barca 3-0, I used to have a season ticket and I loved it!! But I honestly think a little bit more respect should be given to gods country 'norn iron' no we don't have a great team, but we also have less of a population than birmingham.... And we have also supplied some good players for newcastle.....

    Shane ferguson
    Aaron hughes
    Keith gillespie

So my point is.... Don't be hard on the boys so much.... After all we did beat ENGLAND 1-0.....

    Cheers JB (1st post)

Looks like a lot of our youth players are coming from Ireland now, must be quite a little talent pool in there.
