    Adkins on the injury situation

Reece Burke has trained today. That’s positive news and Jordy trained today as well and as long as there is no reaction over the weekend they will be involved.

Mazuch did well when he came on. We’re pleased with his progress. No Evandro. No Jon Toral, No MacDonald and No James Weir.

Adkins on the training ground morale

I’ve spoke with Robbie. He did great last week and we’ve kept a clean sheet and done brilliant. Making sure that you get three points is what it’s about. It’s an away victory. I keep saying you find out more about yourself and the people you’re surrounded with in times like this. It’s been a good place to come to work anyway. There’s a supportive culture here. I know the players are working hard. We’re breaking individual records within our environment. Our camaraderie is good.

    Adkins on the striker situation

West Brom possess a lot of threats. It’s one we are looking forward to.

Campbell has been a great professional since I’ve been here. He started the game against Sheffield United and he came off. He’s fresh and he got the goal. We’ve got Dicko and Keane. I really like Martin because of what he can bring to the team but he has to score goals. Campbell has scored the goal and done well.

    Adkins on Darren Moore

I know Darren Moore well. There’s good knowledge there and sometimes you need the opportunity to go and manage. Darren has been put in that situation and he’s done well. He has galvanised the club and they nearly stayed up. He’s been given a longer period and I wish him well.

Adkins on West Brom and the last year

The players believe something will happen in a positive way. They’re grafting. West Brom have a squad full of Premier League players. They are a strong outfit. When a team does come down they have to get them back straight away. The onus is on them.

I always have a smile on my face, I knew it would be a challenge. There’s a lot of player we wanted to sign in the summer but it hasn’t materialised. I can’t affect the takeover. It’s been going on for a long period of time. Will it affect us in the January window? Potentially.

The U23s are in action at the KCOM Stadium against Forest immediately after the first team on Saturday.

With the takeover talk still in the air, important to remember there's a game on and we really need to pick up something. Tricky decisions to be made if Burke and De Wijs fit, and tricky on formation too. I was liking the 3 centre backs thing but we won last week playing just 2 centre backs, didn't we?

Anyone know if this will be our Remembrance Day game as well? (our next home game isn't until the 24th)
