I'd agree that McGovern & Pinto were the only 2 that fell short of the mark. The crowd were certainly nervous every time the ball was played back to McGovern and on a few occassions I think some of our defenders appeared reluctant to play the ball back to him as well. Clearly Farke wants his keepers to be part sweeper and McGovern just wasn't up to the job, several times he almost got tackled when the ball was played back to him and generally his kicking was poor. Come January I think priority must be another keeper who can play out, if we don't and Krul gets injured then we can kiss an hope of promotion goodbye.

I also didn't think Srbany was that great, okay, but not great. The real problem was he had more than enough chances, but didn't convert any. Yes if a couple had gone in he would have been a hero. Whilst I don't think you should judge a strikers performance by they goals they score (A stiker can have a fantasic game but not score themselves) I do think they should be judged partly on the chances they miss and for me Srbeny just missed too many.

The rest I thought play well. Other than Pinto our back 4 played really well. I'm a fan of Hanley, but I though Zimmerman is looking really good. For me at the moment it's Zimmerman plus either Hanley or Klose if we play a back 4. Lewis is a fantastic player for his age and I'm really glad he's on a long contract. Godfrey looked good as well and I'd really like to see him get more game time.

Trybull played really well as did Tettey. Hernandez also did well.

My only real issue with the way we play is we often don't take opportunities to play the ball forward. Possession football is fine, but players need to be able to penetrate when opportunities allow. At the moment we don't seem to be identifying those opportunities enough we also need to play the ball forward quicker when counter attacking and dare I say it take a gamble ocassionally. When we played balls into space behind their defence we got opportunities.

Farke is right Bournemouth got lucky and if you didn't know you'd think both teams were in the same league.

    How did Rhodes miss?!

Bournemouth now play Chelsea away? Had we got through then yet another way game in EFL Cup would have awaited us.

    Great summary canario. Thanks.
From what I've read elsewhere, we more than matched Bournemouth.

Vrančić could well replace the unavailable Stiepermann on Saturday. He certainly deserves to. Hernandez also deserves to replace Cantwell.
