I tried different ones but settled on Tesco and Morrison's own brands I have it black, no sugar so it's all good I'm not a fan of buying named brands for the sake of it. So I don't buy Earl grey as I find it piss weak
I have tried the fruit Teas for the sake of health...they just don't beat a classic cuppa..mint tea is the only other one I happily have. Green Tea tastes like boiled water with some grass thrown it at best...tastes of **** all.
Latte, Cappuccino...all this Italian bollocks. Actually it's not even Italian tradition as such it just sells to the Brits under the name. If you asked for Latte in Italy, you would end up with a glass of milk If you asked for Cappuccino past midday they would look at you as though you're some sort of weirdo If you asked for espresso you would get a shot
I have some really nice morrocan mint at the moment My Afghanistan neighbours have nice tea. Proper strong and spiced. They bought me a box but i forget what it's called
I worked with Italians when in Horwich. They drank really sweet, strong espresso I would use the coffee beans they used and make cappuccino out of it . Beautiful. Prior to that I only drank tea
I love kashmiri Tea with a hint of rose water..just a hint mind..had it at a wedding once...looked pink...tasted amazing
Yeah it's great stuff. Whenever I go back home I drink it from the street stalls. Over here they tend to cheat and use food colouring. The original stuff is actually Jasmine tea which is boiled down to almost nothing them milk or water added. That's how it gets the pink colour. Do.it slightly wrong and you have to Chuck it and start again They drink.it in the mountains with salt instead of sugar, which sounds vile but suprisingly tasty. They also add pistachio and stuff
Italians don't drink milk after meals, unlike the brits, they consider it too heavy, hence the misconceptions. And generally true Italians don't even sit down to drink coffee, they stand at a bar, order a shot then they are done. Strangely the Brits think it's continental
Yeah there are some strange and wonderful cultural nuances (if that is the right word?) From around the world One that is suprisingly good is to drink coffee or espresso black no sugar but have a sugar cube in your mouth
The one i love the best is when you are sitting in an Italian restaurant and someone orders bru chetta ch = k ie brusketta
The best is when someone orders thinking they are doing it in Italian but they say the English word but in a supermario accent Same in Indian restaurants Oh and nam bread . It's naan

This would make a great thread imo Here is a true anecdote I was working in an Indian restaurant as a waiter and a guy comes in with his Mrs and I go over to take their order. She orders and he starts giving it large to impress her or something. So out comes the pronunciations and the "expertise" The his turn to order and he says can I have a chicken ravioli. I'm confused and say we don't do raviolis here, this is an Indian not Italian. He gets a bit aggro and says I have had it before in this very place Anyway long story short after a bit of a to do I ask him to just tell me what is in the dish. So he says buts of chicken with rice and an egg on top etc Chicken biryani
It's proper good isn't it? We have had an influx of Iraqis and kurds locally who have set up naan places and shwarma places. All freshly made and properly marinated and best of all 100% meat unlike donnners and burgers etc Fantastic stuff
