I've heard it all from rival fans so far this season. We are **** because we only beat Arsenal 0-2 after they went down to 10 men. Chelsea - Norwich anyone? We scored with a lucky own goal. Remind me how did Manure beat WBA again? Kenny has given away 4th spot after selling Meireles.
It's a strange one- I wanted to keep Raul as part of our strength in depth, but I can't see him being the missing link in Chelsea's midfield to keep them at the top. I don't see him playing full games or staying fit all season. Can't see a huge benefit for either party tbh, though I suppose he's on better wages. The strangest move for me though has to be Hargreaves- I can't figure that one out at all.
Hargreaves doesn't have to move house, picks up more un-earned wages and city irritate the heck out of utd. But seriously, I agree, the strangest move ever .... after Owen to utd!
Yeah I agree. Although he did pretty good for us at certain times i always found it hard to pinpoint his strengths. He was strange player like like, id say his best attribute was reading the game and his short pass play. He is physically inadequate, he lacks real passion, and he likes tattoos and weird haircuts. Not much else i can think of to be honest!
I cannot see how someone who jumps out of challenges and cannot play for a full 90 minutes will enhance Chelseas squad. We managed to make a profit on a Hodgson signing, so well done Liverpool.
I would have liked to kept Raul but I can't see how he is going to sort out Chelsea's midfield. It's a weird move!
He would have been a useful squad player, but as a starter in front of Adam and Lucas, not a chance. With the imminent return of Stevie, his chances are going to be limited further. If it were me, I would have even put Jay Spearing in, in front of him. Theres a reason for this. Jay Spearing is what you need in the heat of battle. There is so many fancy luxury players that do such amount. When you're in the trenches and you need someone to roll their sleeves up and be a constant nuisance, this is when Jay Spearing becomes extremely valuable. We don't actually need to sign a replacement for Mereiles, theres a reason for that, he's already at the club, he's called Jonjo Shelvey. Shelvey is an inexperienced version of Mereiles, he has the same silky passing ability as Mereiles does without the experience as of yet. I however would like to see a little bit more tenacity from Shelvey, his passing is excellent but he's a tendency to lose posession and he's unable to get it back and when he loses it, he switches off. If Liverpool were to spend the Mereiles money, some believe it was £12 million...others £15 million. I would like to see a tricky right winger, Eden Hazard, or a striker, someone like Stevan Jovetic.
Exactly this. I thought Chelsea wanted a play-maker?? Then they went and bought Meireles - very strange.
I think Levy proved that Chelsea can't simply have whoever they want by turning the player's head, as they so often do. We heard all of this stuff about how good a player Modric is from Chelsea's end, and various other tactics to unsettle him, but we never once heard Kenny talk about Downing or Adam, or any of our signings until they were our player. Says a lot about both clubs.
Erm... I don't know! I'll explain it... It's a picture of a drummer with the words badum and tish on it. You know when you hear a joke and somebody goes 'badum boom tish'
That's because he would hurt himself packing, and Mancini was annoyed that the seat behind him was empty. Given always filled that role.
Elpistoleros magic feet sounds like the torres wounds are still raw for you. they will heal it just takes time.
