Yay! Some more potential forays into the loan window. From the Scratching Shed, the list of notable absentees:
None of that lot. Hope there's better available than that, players like Bertrand for a start would be a quality addition at LB,maybe with a view to signing him permanently in January.
If that is the best we can hope to sign on loan my fears of having to scrape the dregs of the bottom of the barrell will be confirmed
What did you guys really expect messi and rooney perhaps. We all know its scrap metal time now. The stuff that has been thrown into the rubbish skips for one reason or another, thats what were signing and only after everyone else has had a look at them first.
I'd take Tonge or Tom Soares from Stoke, just because we need centremidfielders. Danny Pugh - any good at leftback anymore? That Hogan Ephraim seemed pretty decent when he was here on loan a few years ago, he's a winger so he might do to plug the Gradel gap atleast until January.
I suggested Ryan Bertrand, thought he'd be a realistic target. Didn't realise he fell into the Rooney/Messi category. My mistake.
Cant quite figure out what the spirit of it is. Do we just pick out some name we want to see at Leeds from the rejects after the twenty five man squads have been named. Dont really see the point as ive already pointed out all well get is the ones nobody else will have.
You cynic, you. Why use the permanent transfer window when you can get cheaper, temporary players from the Premier League?
Liverpool are looking to send their young Scottish international LB out on loan to a Championship club. He's decent-we should go for him. The list at the start of this thread isn't all that will be available.
If you're talking about Danny Wilson, he's a CB I think. Would be worth a try anyway, he's miles better than any of our existing ones.
Yes Best Fans sorry,I was talking about Danny Wilson. Yes he is a CB primarily but came on as sub today against Czech Rep & played at LB.
Played dreadful for Scotland today (although he came on as a sub and played left back). He gave away the "penalty" that wasn't and his passing was woeful. I like the guy and really think he will be an asset for any team, but that performance today suggested otherwise. Still he needs games at a good level and we would provide that, he is also a centre back only.
