We would have to disagree because as I say he just has the wealth to take issue with it. He isn't in uncharted territory. The bloke has spent his whole life ostracised by the city, criticised, vilified to the point he had to get up in front of MP's. The bloke lets it all slide off and carries on with his less than white business practices. He just doesn't care - people want him to and think they can get to him, but they can't. The only thing that has ever peaked the mans interest is if a business loses money. Many suggest there is narcissism with him but he only carries certain traits of a narcissist in my opinion. He doesn't require constant praise and attention for instance, just your money. To be honest whereas Pardew etc provided a sounding board for fans abuse, Ashley has also been subject to abuse throughout. It is not like he was protected from it. The fans and press have always been at him the same way they are now. Its just peaks and troughs is all. We haven't even reached the heady heights of the Keegan saga with personal and family abuse. This current abuse from the press and fans will be having zero impact on him. He has been to darker places in his time here, nevermind the rest of his life. Those didn't change him so the fans shouldn't kid themselves that he has suddenly developed a conscience and feeling the heat.
