Clark says: Coates is ready!

    Liverpool No2 Steve Clarke says new signing Sebastian Coates will not need any settling in time. Coates signed for the Reds this week from Nacional Montevideo.



    "He's a full international and Uruguay are amongst the top five in the world, so they're a strong international team," Clarke told the club's official website. "He's a talented youngster and gives us different options at the back.


    He's ready to play if required, but we've also got many other centre-halves ready to play if required. "You never really know how a foreign player coming into the English game is going to adapt.Some take a long time to adjust, while others like Luis Suarez come in and settle straight away."

    I have predicted that he will start against Stoke.

    I don't have an inside source.
    I don't personally know the groundsman.

    Sorry, I don't think he'll play at all against Stoke. This is just my opinion, he'll be bedded in gently, he will possibly play a game for the reserves to acclimatise and then possibly, just possibly play against Brighton in the Carling Cup. Just because they've said he's ready, doesn't mean for one minute he'll be rushed.
