Agree with this. it comes down to what people want really. Most people prefer the easy life, which is fair enough.
How long you seen me post? How many variants in my life? I sometimes look at stabilty. then think, **** it.
Have been contracting since this time last year ... the freedom is great ... the downside is knowing it's temporary
But you're doing ok mate? Although you type like a ****** with a wasp on his balls, at times. Big gamble
The other thing I've found with being 'poor' is that you do more stuff yourself, rather than paying other people to do it for you. I've learned all of my building/DIY skills out of necessity. I've renovated the whole of my house myself (with some help from my brother) Plumbing, Wiring, Carpentry, fitting a kitchen, plastering, roofing. I reckon I've saved £25-£30k from not paying somebody to do it. And I haven't electrocuted myself yet
The whole house mate. When I bought it, it was a wreck. Part of the mortgage deal was that it needed to be gutted and some structural and damp issues needed sorting. That meant everything had to come and and start again. I think I had £1200 in the bank when I got that house, so there was no choice but to start doing it all myself.
Sorry mate, i think you missed the concept of my post..I meant anything more of a chance than ****ing decorating.. I''m the daft **** who spent years blagging it as a building manger in asia.
... I could have been comfortably retired now mate if I hadn't taken chances ... and not followed my dick ... nearly bankrupted me but I came through ... only downside is that I will be working for another ten years (at least) ...
