Yeah true they weren't at their best...I think the pitch probably did contribute to that. Silva missed a sitter and Lamela would have finished that if the ball had rolled and not bobbled to him. He didn't start them because they were coming back from injury..which is fair enough but what I don't get is why put them on with so little time to get into the heat of the game...by the time they find their range it's FT. Poch pisses me off with his substitutions
My MOTM...it's a shame he doesn't seem to have the confidence to play an attacking ball...he's very good when driving with the ball...gets the move going for us. Winks played well when he came on too. We need a top class replacement for Dembele..he's done I think. Strong as an Ox but his footballing ability is becoming quite flat
I don't get it...got 3 game changers on the bench...give them some time to get into the game. Pep stuck KDB on late on but that was to see out the game..we were supposed to be chasing the game...them attacking subs should have been made with half an hour to go at least.
Was expecting a drubbing but annoying in the end that we couldn't get anything out of a game where City weren't at their best. Trippier's mistake cost us the game but today showed why we need a new CM or two. Dembele can't hack it anymore. Winks looked the best he's done in ages when he came on but needs to do it more often. Sissoko had a blinder, as I said the other day on here, he's been our third best player behind Lamela and Lucas this season. Kane and Lamela fluffed chances, need to be putting those away in games like this. Dele being back is ****ing huge though, we've badly missed him and he should've had an assist had Lamela not skied his shot.
Alli came on and them spaces that were crying out to be occupied in and around their box were being found. ****ing shame Poch thought he can turn the game for us in 15 minutes instead of giving him the luxury of getting into the match
I've never seen a player at Spurs like Alli who just seems to find so much space. Off the ball movement is second to none, only person who had a similar off the ball movement that I can remember was Berbatov, he had knack of just being in the perfect place. Mate, Poch and subs, we all know the story, lol. His biggest weakpoint in management.
Neville and Carragher ripping Spurs to shreds Neville just said Spurs have always been flakey and you would expect to beat them even if you were 2-0 down, cos they were pathetic
That old Fergie HT team talk springs to mind when you were 3-0 down at WHL. 'Lads, this is Spurs we're talking about'
I thought Spurs were **** and the home crowd sounded like they thought they were at a cup final. City barely broke a sweat and they’ll piss the league again.
haha, as much as i loathe city and pep, for the purposes here there are no city fans and too many pool. No pool PL will do me just fine
