No Oliveira or Adam Phillips either. Especially interesting since the press were convinced Oliveira was playing tonight.

Given the paucity of midfield options, could well see Phillips on the bench at Bournemouth. Read a rumour Idah is injured, but nothing with any real authority.

The 'wheels have come off' the Under 23s - that's 11 goals conceded in their last 2 games. <yikes>

The 7-2 defeat by Stoke was when Matt was still in charge!!

Meanwhile, back to the football and Srbeny must feel a bit frustrated. He scored a brace against Cardiff to get our good run started and then has had to look on as it continues. DF commented:

“Teemu and Jordan were delivering with goals and it was sometimes tough for Dennis because the last time he was in the starting line-up he was there with two goals and an assist with a brilliant performance at Cardiff. But I think also he had a really good performance in the last 15 minutes when he came on (during Saturday’s 1-0 win over Brentford), was lively and able to win some balls. I like what he is doing on the training pitch, he knows that he is not far away, it’s just about the competition that he was not allowed more minutes on the pitch. But he is not far away and I’m happy to have him.”

He deserves a chance against Bournemouth after his heroics at Cardiff. Some people have written him off because he isn't playing, but like others he's improved a lot since last year and has looked good in the few chances he has had. DF obviously rates him. At 6'3" and a more physical presence, he offers a different threat than our other strikers, and if he can take his chance, it could add another boost to our promotion push as well. Here's hoping.

Spot on RER and Sir Benny made quite an impact when he came on for his 15 minute cameo on Saturday and let's hope he starts tonight, as he certainly deserves it. With Teemu and JR both ring scoring goals in the league, it's a difficult decision for DF.
