You know what, LL, for the first 3 minutes of that video I was all set to type a simple ‘amen’ in response. I’m not ex military myself but I’ve seen the stress it can put on people. There’s only one day of the year I go to church apart from weddings and funerals. To remember. I remember my dad (who came back from WWII with what we now call PTSD and a store of unbelievably horrific images); I remember talking to a neighbour in Portsmouth in 1982, her husband was on Fearless as the ships started going down, and she was going through living hell; I’ve had relatives killed and injured, and more but that will do. So you may understand, to see images of WWI and WWII, to hear Churchill speeches, see the classic yomping photo from the Falklands, pictures of spitfires and Lancaster’s, then suddenly find the video turned into a creepy promotion of Tommy Robinson....... to say I’m disgusted is putting it mildly. The Americans have a phrase: ‘ stolen valor’ That’s what this video is.
Your dad fought in WW2 against the germans who want to rule Europe and you voted remain it beggars belief
Sorry you are right I lost my sense of humour. I don’t like stolen valour, it takes credit away from those who deserve our respect. But I’m back to my happy self now, having made my point
They certainly do deserve everyones utmost respect for what they sacrificed, I wonder what they would think now of what the Snowflakes have done to their once great country they fought so hard for
It's not stolen Valour 2020, Tommy started the "I am Soldier X" campaign in order to bring attention to the way our Squaddies are being treated, and the so called power Muslim wotnots of Britain have over our forces. Know what, Tommy's doing a great job too, it's spreading through the forces and Britain like wildfire, not to mention other parts of world.
It’s all opinion. My view is parties of both left and right have under invested in armed forces for 50 years, we got away with it in the Falklands. I think brexit is another reason we’ll continue to spend too little. (Yes I’m aware some see it differently).
Of course he did. And it’s a way of promoting himself. He has targeted the armed forces, and football fans, as promising recruiting grounds. In any case the video is stolen valour. He could have produced the same video, just not appeared himself - and for sure not holding up ‘I am soldier X’ in front of himself. Stolen valour.
Only because she knows the German people have had enough of her policies especially regarding the open door policy
Not standing down far enough but at least it's a start. What about that French peacock time he went as well. Not forgetting that John claud drunker of course.
