A new OS. Don't know if you've ever visited other websites but basically everyone as the same one as us.
Yeah I have. Mostly everyones websites are the same except for clubs in the Prem. Think it would be a good idea but lets focus on getting promoted first!
I thought they were all meant to be the same format? Thats definitely the case with alot of other sports
Interesting information. Will the Echo come sniffing though? I am split on moving the away fans myself Healthy Saint. Whilst an entire stand of incredibly vocal Saints fans is a magnificient and rarely matched sight, shown by away games where we were given stands, or the odd home game when we Block 43 also being for home fans, I wonder whether there are enough fans who want to be in the Northam to fill it every week? I suppose we have around the 3000 mark in it now, and another 1000 in the Kingsland Corner who also stand and sing through the whole game, but is there another 3000 on top who wish to do the same, but end up banished to the Itchen or Chapel Stands? I have no idea myself, but we probably would fill the Northam in the prem every game with nutty supporters. However, a full St Marys will be as intimidating either way, as the Itchen Corner get very voiceferous, and effectively the away fans are stuck between two seperate walls of noise. Having the away fans somewhere else would take a bit of the atmosphere and a lot of the banter away, well us in Block 42 would not particularly like it, we are there for the banter and best atmosphere. I would let the Northam be for now, and if there is such a great demand for more space for home fans there (as season ticket holders do basically take the whole allocation) then perhaps they can petition to have the Itchen Corner opened, and a Chapel corner closed? The system works now, and the season ticket holders I speak to all seem satisfied with arrangements. Let us get that Itchen full (okay extra police costs) and again box in and drown out anyone and everyone ugly enough to come down to ol' Soton! (Not that we don't do hat now, but an extra 1000 faces in the Itchen always helps.
Northam is what northam is because its close to the away fans. chuck away fans near chapple and chappel would be the new northam!
"â¢Don has never seen a footy game that hasnt involved saints" probably means since he has come to St Marys, and who can blame him
Is that because they wouldnt be able to close the road to build it or because the structure would need to be where the road is?
But if they extended the Kingsland, isnt that just as close to the railway track as the Itchen is to Britannia Road ?
I see what you are saying but if I think about the whole dinner thing with food and wine, I can see that late on if someone asked the Don who is the the clubs top players or earners he may well of said that would be Rickie and Adam and thought nothing of it, after all its no surprise to any one on here
Its because of the flats behind the stand, I've never understood how that effects the stand extenshion other then a issue with light to the flats!
Interesting? More bollox. Those videos show the Itchen extended. They hardly look like an artist impression more like some spiv has designed them in his bedroom.
I've also heard that and imagine that this is the real reason. You would want to avoid moving the hospitality suites around.
