For a club of their size, they have to get the CL. Not getting the CL would be a failure BUT as long as they still have a chance they definitely won’t sack him. If by the end of December they are so far behind and it looks like they would miss out they’ll sack him without hesitation. For me a manager like Pochetino could bring everything together and make them competitive.
