That surely can’t be the case?

There’s a weird element of secrecy about the identities of the passengers that makes no sense.

I have no idea why but this just made me spit coffee all over the front room... my daughters both asked what I was reading a nd when I said it was a thread about the helicopter crash they looked at me with disgust...when I fully explained they looked at me with pity ... while slowly shaking their heads in despair...

you **** Spurlock ... they used to look up to me <laugh>

They should name the stadium after him.

I know there's 5 dead people here, which is extremely sad...

But - How will this effect Leicester as a club, financially etc.?

As you rightly point out, the most important thing is the 5 lives lost but I’m sure lots of our fans are wondering that.
Even from the start, it was Vichai and his eldest son Aiwatt (known as Top) as his second in command and between them they seem to always represent the family at games. I believe theirs another son (known as Tip) who is an exec on the board and 2 daughters who have involvement.
It has been suggests Top will take the reigns and Tip step up to second in command.
I guess we won’t know as the family will need to grieve and I guess it begs the question whether they’ll be able to face it given he died at the stadium. Personally I think they’ll continue the vision. They didn’t buy us as a short term thing and tragedy aside, Vichai would have passed away in the future and I’m sure the plan would have been to pass down in the family.
    I hope so anyway..

Thought he was just a football chairman, only just found out about the donations he made to hospitals and stuff in Leicester.

Seems there are some people who genuinely use their wealth to help others, and he was one of them.

Wait for the skeletons to come tumbling out the closet now I’ve said that.

I hope you're right mate because this could be extremely bad for the club otherwise.

    Such a sad thing.

After what he's done for the club he deserves some kind of memorial. A stand named after him... even a statue, the guy was heavily involved in Leicester doing the impossible.....

He even bought the players matching blue cars :bandit:

He’s a big reason for Spurs not winning the league that year and for that we should all be grateful.

As I say, if he’d passed away for example in Thailand of a cause like a heart attack, I don’t think it’d be in question. The only reason I believe they wouldn’t continue is whether they can face coming back. But they are invested in the city and know we count them as our own so we can’t do any more. Might be interesting to know from @Archers Road @The Liebherr Legacy and other saints what the thoughts were of your fan base when you lost your owner

I agree, the stadium is already named after his business legacy so I’d not change that but certainly a stand and a statue
