PJ has been on the phone to Bruce about the possibility of CWick returning to PR on loan, its a long shot but if it comes off would you be happy (I know a certain budgie that would be creaming his pants) or would you rather us concentrate on developing our own players?

Hope we can get at least 2 in today but think it will be 1 at best and also think Scotland will be sold!!

Its gonna be a long day of clicking on refresh me thinks!!

Personally and for all his potential I would rather he didnt come back - unless we are planning to sell an awful lot of players today. Chopra is likely to start most games, on top of that we have brought in Ellington, Murphy & JET who can all play a more advanced role and Scotland appears to have upped his game a lot this summer. Defenders please Mr Jewell and then if we still have spare cash consider Wickham but not before.

Dont see why we should take him back. Sunderland paid the money for him so he is now their resposibility to train and improve, why take up our time and resources to do this only to return him a better player? Spend the time with young players that are actually ours. He chose to move to sit on the bench and I think we now have adequate resources in this area anyway.

I think it'd be a big mistake. He's not that good. He doesn't offer us that much. If he's ours to develop then great, but otherwise I'd rather give our own players game time. I don't see how we would benefit at all.

I'm pretty sure there is a rule saying you can't loan out players in the same window as they we're registered. It definatly applied to Stoke when they tried to sign the new Chelsea kid earlier this week.

Personnaly I would only like us to loan players with a view to sign (unless they bring something massive to the club i.e. Stockdale). Otherwise they do not always give their all. Although I've liked PJs transfer dealings so far, so I have faith. COYB

You can loan out if in a different division - thats the issue with Lukaka !

Regarding Wickham, Jewell spoke to Bruce, Bruce said no, he won't be coming right now.

Possibly in a month or so.

definately possible to sign and then loan out a player. Chelsea signed that Belgian keeper and loaned him to Athletico Madrid this summer.

What a bloody joke this is! <steam>

We should never have sold him this year in the first bloody place or we should have done a year's loan back in the settlement. By suddenly admitting this now I think PJ has made himself look bloody foolish at best and incompetent at worst. Isn't the real issue behind this the fact that Evans and Clegg wanted to cash in despite PJ wanting Wickham to stay? What a bloody fiasco all round. Does anyone at our football know what they're doing!

Not interested in training another teams player. We have enough options up front now, PJ already has the hassle of keeping his front players happy with game time wthout adding another one.

Gio has been named in Spurs 25 man squad though hasn't he?? also Wigan were rumoured to fancy taking him on loan. I imagine if that were the case Spurs would wait until January and send him there instead of us simply as it would be a far better shop window.

I know this Gio thing is a bit of a joke now but I don't think we need another player like Gio atm as we currently have a similar player who can play that "free role" in JET. I'm not by any means saying JET is better than Gio, I just think they are probably players of a similar ilk and you can only really have 1 player like this in your team and I'd prefer to see us try to develop JET than bring Gio.

I've seen that Notts Forrest are after Andros Townsend. This is a player I would definitely like us to try and get on loan as we need at least one more winger and what I saw from him last season he is the best winger at the club I've seen in years.
