I actually expected us to win it after we equalised, hence the disappointment. After Roofe, our greatest strike threat is Clarke - sooner he starts knocking them in the better, what a talent.
I did mate, I really thought we would score a second if we would have had another 5 minutes I think we would have scored and I agree about Clarke, he is some player he was immense when he came on
Helicopter crash in the Leicester city carpark after the West ham game, apparently its the clubs owner not looking too good for fans leaving the stadium I hope he was giving Lineker a lift though
Totally agree Olof, he is a young and upcoming keeper, and I prefer BPF to Blackwall, but he's also been playing long enough to learn from his mistakes. It's ok having a go at me for picking BPF up on his mistakes, which, for a keeper can and does become costly, there are those who constantly have a go at other players like Alioski, Saiz, Dallas and other players, which is pretty much hypocrisy; not pointing a finger at you by the way. If I remember rightly, a lot of people were having a go at Weinwald, Lonergan,Silvestri etc for any mistakes they made, some of these also claimed Green was a brilliant keeper, and Adryan couldn't buy a compliment from most; so what am I doing that's any different to the others slagging off other players......none. I'm an ex keeper, it's only natural I'm going to notice his mistakes, especially the mistakes he keeps making over and over. If he has a future at Leeds, he's got to start learning fast and improving his positioning and decisiveness. This is the season we all want, and expect promotion, BPF has to step up and perform well enough to help the team get promoted. If the mistakes are continual, and costing us silly goals then the defence will start to lose confidence in him, like they did with Weinwald, and promotion may well become a struggle. Should we get promoted, then BPF will not be the first choice keeper, if he is, he will be continually punished. Outfield players can make mistakes, and there's other players to mop up, there's no one behind a keeper, he has to be precise and decisive. Lapses in concentration will cost us. I agree, all keepers make mistakes, most of the good to great ones do occasionally, that's why they're classed as good to great keepers, their mistakes are rare. I don't give a toss about those who have a go at what I say, but they should take a good look at themselves before trying to debunk me......
I'm not having a go at you LL, you're entitled to your opinion I just totally disagree with you on this, when a keeper makes a mistake it is more highlighted than when a outfield player does, I don't think BPF was at fault, it was the lads in front, not one of them was watching the ball, just the man, Phillips was stood on his own, he may as well have been on the right post and he could have stopped it going in
And now your gonna believe us, now you’re gonna believe us, now you’re gonna believe us...... The Football League’s not corrupt! What a great ref and lino today Agree with what norn Paddy said earlier, some of the plaudits are over the top but many pluses for me. El Loco is only three months into the job and the players believe in him, you can see they trust the way he wants us to play. He also makes changes to try and change / win a game, changes that few on here would honestly predict. Like wannabe says, someone will get tonked - if we score early and get a bit of fortune a team will capitulate and we will go for the throat. Phillips and Roofe are maturing into the players those that understand the game thought they would. Pearce, BPF, Clarke, Roberts, Shackleton, Edmondson, Harrison etc are very young and will improve and most are getting game time without ruining our challenge. Brown, Bamford and Douglas will add to the quality of this squad. January will give us a chance to address the serious weaknesses we have in Alioski, Dallas and Berardi. Onwards and upwards, another good point today in a game we would have lost last year
Talking about last year We are 4 points better off than last year and the blunts are 1 point worse than they were last year after 15 games
