It ended 1-1. Leeds move up to second on goal difference, but we are still joint second on points. More importantly, we're now 4 points clear of 7th place.

Was very close to booking for today, but finishing work, the weather, and persuading my gf that watching the game in these conditions, and rushing about would be great. I decided against.

Tempted to book for Millwall. Will be a tough game, maybe not the best football. But she owes me now! :emoticon-0136-giggl

Without wishing to be a mood killer, and I might be completely wrong statistically, but I’ve felt for that for several seasons, at least since Hughton managed us, our record against the so-called “smaller” teams has been what has let us down. We have not been flat track bullies. That’s what gets teams promoted - it’s all well and good showing pluck and heart and sticking it to the big boys on a regular basis, if you want to succeed you’ve got to be ruthless and put teams to the sword regularly.

I got the feeling today was actually a bit of a reprieve. A good result, but we can’t keep getting lucky, we actually need to start out-classing comprehensively now.

We were fortunate today I thought - Brentford played nice enterprising football and with a bit more finesse in front of goal could have snatched a point. Their play certainly belies their current form. That said we missed some good chances too including Rhodes poor penalty but we hardly tested their keeper whereas Krul made a number of good saves including the double save before Muape hit the bar.

A ground out result against a good team today - I came away from the ground a bit relieved but very happy.
