    I’m still seeing some people on and off here calling their tea, Dinner, They need to grow up, Who has their “Dinner” at 5pm, <doh>.

    Normal adults have it from 7 onwards.

    Why is this such a big issue for you? Lots of words are different regionally. I bet you have some mad words for bread rolls.

    Lunch at lunchtime 12-2pm
    Dinner anytime between 5 and 8pm

    Tea is a snack between lunch and dinner

    That is pretty much it. If you compare it to the rest of Europe, I use Italians in this example;

    Colazione - Breakfast in the morning
    Pranzo - Lunch
    Cena - Dinner (although much later than the Brits due to the siesta working hours and the heat).

    No one eats dinner at 5pm. As they are not special needs and have jobs. Dinner is eaten after 6.
