I agree he could be getting a bit more out of what hes got, but on the other hand he is managing to hold things together thru an absolute **** storm created by the ****s. On top of that, injuries and luck are yet again conspiring against us. But back to coaching. Lets not forget that he hasnt been able to bring in the players he wanted nor the coaching staff.Had he got a better team around him (coaches, physios etc) things might well be just that bit better, enough to see out the season safely. There are only 2 people to blame and to be angry with - both go by the name of Allam.

When he was successful at Wolves he was part of a front 2 and had a great foil in Afobe .. like a lot of strikers they work best in partnerships .. and get better as their confidence improves. Sadly the tactics employed and the staff we currently have at the club make it difficult to play a front 2 because our midfield is so poor.
The skippers back , that's a boost . You need a leader in the engine room in difficult times like this, if Bolton are going to get anything from This , they are at least going to know they have been in a battle .
