Jack Ross' side travel to Accrington ahead of a busy Christmas fixture schedule on December 8, with the Black Cats-faithful receiving a staggering 2,374 tickets out of the 5,057 available.
These little grounds are great to go to, I remember at St James(oops maybe not that small) standing in the away end which was packed in fact everywhere we went we took thousands in the 1980's, I think it was £4 to get in and a fiver for the coach fare ! even at Liverpool. Them were the days.
We sold four thousand the other night and wonder how many fans were turned down and couldn't get a ticket. This is a good move by Accrington and it's a guaranteed sell out so good business for them as it's not much further than Doncaster travelling wise. We've got 1700 tickets for Morecambe in the Checkatrade trophy next month so they are making a few bob as well. Smaller clubs must love having a big well supported club at their level, not to mention the bank manager.
Anybody on here able to get Rooch and me tickets for this game, it's fairly local to us but we don't have points at the club ticket office. Any offers greatly received.
Well thats a buggar. I live 5 miles from accy and my mate an avid accy fan is getting me a ticket. Might be a bit harder now with half the ground going to Sunderland. Be good craic though. Bet there are a few Sunderland fans who live in the area turn up in the away end just as they used to for Blackburn and Burnley matches
Charlie, Do you know if it's ticket only for the home end or can you pay on the door as we're prepared to do that if we can't get tickets for away end.
