That was one of his better written posts (though not true), usually it was just some childish comment followed by a 4 lettered word extended to 20 letters because he added a load of 's' on the end.
Messi didn't flop. He was by far Argentina's best player in the Copa and the World Cup. Like Maradona, Messi came deep a lot to pick up the ball and run directly at defenders. The difference is that where defenders came towards Maradona, against Messi they back off. Maybe this is because speed is more of an attribute of Messi's game, or maybe it's because defending methods have changed over the years. But Messi is far from being **** in an Argentina shirt.
Everyone has ridiculed the OP yet look how many replies they have been on this thread. Btw if you are going on scoring ratios for countries then Crouch better than Rooney, Messi and Ronaldo.
We will never come to a conclusion when it comes to Messi. People think different things, and the thread is not based on Copa America, we are comparing international and domestic records and then seeing if we can say how good he is. The following is quite controversial: We ended up comparing Rooney and Messi, and it turns out that Rooney has a better goal to game record internationally than Messi (after his 2 goals last night), but some claimed that is because the players around Messi are ****e. You can also claim (I think this) that Messi only plays as well as he does because of the team around him that is Barcelona. Everyone has to admit that the success is with Barca because of the team pressing, passing etc.. and not just the individual brilliance of Messi. Xavi and Iniesta make it so easy for Messi to score it's unbelievable! When it comes to domestic goals, it ends up bringing around the 'which league harder/better' argument. I think that Rooney does very well to score the goals he does in the Premier League, given that every team are quite good defensively and it is always a challenge to get past them. I also think that Messi does very well to score the goals he does in La Liga, but could be bring 20/25 goals a season into the Premier League? Only the best player in the world (I think is Ronaldo) could do such things. There was also the claim that he will never be the best player ever (Messi) as he doesn't have the ability to 'single-handedly' win the world cup (arguebly). There are many arguments when it comes to Messi, and you would have to read the whole thread to make a comment. But to do what Lucas Destroyer has done and completely disregard the argument and just read the opening post it just ******ed
Phwoar that's a tough question. Mostovoi? Karpin? Revivo? Makelele? Spoilt for choice; I'll have to come back to you on that one!
Maybe Messi needs a Napoli-type move to cement his greatness. Perhaps one of the Russian clubs in the war-torn regions.
He needs to move from Barcelona if he wants to cement his place as one of the greats imo Obviously, he doesn't need to go to Russia
