Yeah a Golf is towards the top of what I'm looking for.

 

I've had once before and loved it. 1.9Tdi was really fast and still got 50mpg. There's plenty of room in the back for passengers and they've got a great safety and reliability record. Even the basic models are nicely specced too. So you'll get electric windows, air con etc. There's loads out there so you'll be able to take your pick at £3k.

They are one of the most sold cars ever in the UK and there's a reason for that.

 

Do you also wear a bra and high heels at weekends?

 

Don't overlook the Micra, yeah?

You can get to Sydney and back on a tank, and with room enough to fit a hamster in the back.

I'm always amused that Skoda is a respectable brand now...

When I left Europe people were making the "What do you call a Skoda with food in the boot?" Joke.

 

Amazing the different lives people on here have.. love my motors so when my girl became totally bed bound and the fully disabled converted Kangaroo was no longer needed, I went from this..

Love my Mercs and the crazy thing is, the Kangaroo sold in a day on Autotrader and I got a hell of a lot more than I paid for the Merc..
