The important news is I can see some fire extinguishers in one of these photos, so we won't have to close down the shop for a couple of months as we redo the fire safety system...

This sounds cautiously hopeful and given the guy's previous history and low level of expectation, it's likely to be true. Fingers crossed that the testing goes well and the club can commit to something regarding a likely date to be ready.

This better lead to a pic of Poch with his arm around the stadium on January 1st!

"Our deal with Nike is extended to 2033".............that's not just a football kit deal........I'm still reckoning that they are sponsoring the stadium to some extent.

My mate literally said that two minutes ago on our group chat and I’m inclined to agree.

I can't think how anyone would draw that conclusion...

After all the delays I've come to the conclusion the only way we can reverse the negative PR is to have it revealed on Christmas Day that our first game at the NEW ST/\DIUM will take place on January 13th against Expensive Stoke

Do you think The Queen will be okay in mentioning that during her speech?

So it looks like we'll start at the new place with the same fixture that we finished at White Hart Lane: Man Utd.

There's a loophole there: the royals are supposed to be impartial.

Of course, the fact our previous chairman was knighted for services to Arsenal back in 2000 did raise a few eyebrows...

Then in December it will be pushed back even further.

Should have just said it will be ready for next season.

Will the sponsorship money go up?

Surely the club hasn’t agreed a deal where the money stays the same until 2033? Spurs already get less than rivals for kit deals and they will all be signing new ones in the next few years.

We sell significantly less shirts than United, Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal, which means that our current shirt income deal is around half of our competitors' deals. However, we're offering a tie into something unique - a football club that will be the home of NFL, E-Sports, Boxing, Concerts, etc. The new shop will be stuffed with Nike stuff - Spurs and non-Spurs.

I reckon that Nike are going to be the stadium sponsors as well as kit providers and we'll be very well taken care of throughout that period. Having a 15 year deal with Nike means they have a vested interest in us being successful on the field and off. It's a big deal.

One thing that makes this deal works is the fact that every single NFL kit is manufactured by Nike, so it doesn't matter if the ex-pat wandering into our store supports New England, New Orleans or either New York franchise, whatever they buy Nike's getting a cut.

Somebody should probably break it to them that every NFL team having Nike kits and every MLS team having Adidas kits sounds a hell of a lot like socialism...

That sounds very good for Nike but not for Spurs.
