He can finish with his head, sure. Unfortunately the sport he plays is called "Foot" ball, not headball. I think like 8 or 9 of his 13 Chelsea goals has been scored with his head.
Yes, but for £60m you expect a footballer to be able to control and shoot a football with his feet. At least for more than one game per season. Call me old fashioned
That’s the going rate these days for carthorses. I dread to think what we’d have thrown at it if we were somehow still in the Prem.
Yeah it is quite ridiculous. I mean, we paid silly money for Shevchenko and Torres (£30m and £50m respectively), but at least they had awesome goal scoring records elsewhere before we bought them. Morata was a super sub with an okay record. I would have paid £40m MAX, for him.
I remember when the £50m paid by Chavs for Torres seemed obscene. Oh, how that price seems cheap, these days!
He's been playing okay, of late. I think it takes some players a little while to adapt to Poch's way of playing.
Wanna know the saddest thing? He's been one of our better players this season when he's played... Lamela and Lucas have been the stars, as has Gazzaniga when he had his chances in goal (and should've never been dropped), outside of that, Sissoko is probably next in line.
Yeah but if you hadn’t fallen apart at Watford you’d be top of the league. Funny old game though I fear for you against the better teams, as Liverpool amply demonstrates.
It's crazy that statistically we've had our best start to a Prem season because our football has been absolutely shocking. We've only had two good 45 minutes and they were the second halves against Utd and Fulham. For as good as Pool were against us, we should've had a last minute pen to have possibly nicked a point. We need to up our game though, can't keep scraping by, I'm not particularly looking forward to Monday against City, especially now that de Bruyne's back fit, could be a long night for us.
Pretty lacklustre performance from us at Sporting so far. Expecting Emery to sort this out at HT and make some tactical changes.
