Bristol City vs Hull Bristol City will monitor Nathan Baker ahead of the clash with Hull. Baker went off after 21 minutes of Saturday's 1-0 win at Brentford with a head injury and the club must now adhere to the relevant protocols. Frank Fielding (illness) remains out while Niki Maenpaa is still a couple of weeks away from fitness with an adductor injury. Bailey Wright, Mo Eisa and Hakeeb Adelakun are all back in training and closing in on returns. Hull should be able to call on midfielder Dan Batty. Batty came off in Saturday's 1-1 draw with Preston with a knee injury, but it is not expected to keep him out at Ashton Gate. Skipper Markus Henriksen should be fit after a minor injury kept him out at the weekend. Evandro (calf) will miss out along with Stephen Kingsley. The Gaffer's ~ Jamie McAllister's pre-Hull City press conference....https://www.bristolpost.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/bristol-city-injury-news-hull-2135355 Adkins: We’ll Be Going All Out For The Three Points.....https://www.hullcitytigers.com/adkins-well-be-going-all-out-for-the-three-points/
Kalas back in defence, Dasilva on the left, Kelly having a rest from recent internationals, okay by me.
Another late late show. Glad of the 3 points but very worried about our inability to put games to bed. We were home against the second bottom side and only scored 1, and that in the 93rd minute. Not really good enough tbh.
My main man Famara scores again for what could be the most valuable 3 points of the season. I've always kept my faith in him - not! - but good for him and now he needs to focus on the prize.
I would like us to put games to bed early as well but this is the Championship and on any given day any team can win against any other. As I said earlier, I will take any kind of win, so I'm happy tonight. Hull came to spoil, harry and try to nick at least a point. They nearly did that and with better finishing may have gone home with all three points. I was most concerned with the ball control some of our players lacked, some work needed there. What about Max though, two games, two clean sheets!! And a fabulous save early doors.
As you rightly say Supcon our scoring exploits need a lot to be desired. Do you think any of the wounded soldiers can offer anything more, or is it a team/system problem that needs more than just extra bodies? P.S. It's good to see some posts after a mid-week evening match.
Sod the naysayers, two wins from two is great regardless of the opposition in a competitive Championship, especially for a young, injury hit squad. Just 4 points from the top too.
Well said Nick and perhaps some our regulars posters may come back if we hit the top 6 over the next few weeks.
