Hope you are right, given our challenges in the final third, its the quantity of goals that l am surprised with. Am going to miss the game as the sister-in-law is getting married: historically Saints do better when l don't watch the game, so the chances of a win are good!
I agree. This will be the game when our shots on target tally gets converted into actual football goals. 9-0.
Let's surprise them with a 2-3-5 formation McCarthy Vestegaard Hoedt Ward-Prowse Lemina Hojbjerg Redmond Ings Austin Gabbiadini Elyounoussi Prediction: Saints win 9-8
Not aimed specifically at you, but never understand why people want to change the CB pairing after both performing so well & keeping a clean sheet the week beforehand?
Agreed, Wes and Jack have earned another start after the last match. it sends out the wrong message if you select a team on reputation rather than performance IMO.
I think we all know the more likely outcome is that we will be 9-0 up at half time, we will then sit back and completely change the way we have been playing, end up just about holding on for a 9-9 draw.
Can't learn anything by swapping around....if Wes and Jack did well, they should be given another match. It's not as if there is an outstanding CB (like a VVD) that must be played if fit. It is weird though that Hoedt has been slated so much recently....if you only read the views of fans Hoedt wouldn't get near a division 1 side.
I was at that game stood in the Milton Terrace right behind the goal as a 15 year old joof! Both Le Tiss goals utter magic - never forget the celebration!
No too concerned about Rondon, as our slow CB's suit his play more.......but The Toon looked so toothless against Brighton, that anyone coming in WILL do better. Stay injured Solomon.
We have to show loyalty to good performances. Or else, what is the point. But players beware, you cock up, & someone is chomping at the bit to steal your place. And I'd have JwP in for ElMo for that reason. More energy & drive, even if the finesse takes a back seat.
I would have JWP just for his dead ball delivery as our corners and free kicks are dreadful without him
Would love to be a fly on the wall at N'castles training ground. Lots of whispers that he's thrown the towel in, and even at risk of sack! Ashley would be a bigger fool than I thought if he lets him slide away. But, he (rafa) is known for the odd tantrum. Turn the screw Saints, turn it hard!
Well Les does not own us. Mark isn't as technically good as Rafa. And Newcastle have the potential to be far bigger than us. So, those up there clinging to that hope can suck on my brown ale.
