Landed at Heathrow at 10.45 last night, turned phone on and the result pinged up. Nice welcome home.

Excellent stuff. Keep it up lads.

It's interesting to read the several comments that say our first half performance was not so good. As I mentioned earlier I though this was a very good Wednesday side with lots of crisp passing and running off the ball but despite all the possession we controlled the game where it mattered. Cameron in particular really dominated in the first half and helped snuff out opposition attacks and Lumley actually had less to do than he did in the second 45. We were much more incisive (hard to believe I am saying that after years of negative midfield play) and deserved a goal long before it actually turned up. It was noticeable that when Cameron tired in the second half (as he did pretty early on) then Wednesday started carrying a real threat and if I have any criticism of SM it's that he left him on when that started to happen. But our second goal arrived at exactly at the right time and a little against the run of play which allowed us to relax and turn in a memorable last 30 minutes of football capped by an excellent first goal for Wells.

Isn’t it funny that a few weeks ago there were many, on here and in ‘real’ life, who were calling for the head of McClaren and wanting Olly to return in a blaze of glory (of course if he would honour us to return).....now Steve is the new messiah and we are looking at Wembley and beyond :) We’re a strange old bunch, us football lot.

(Not meant at a dig at anyone in particular I promise, just a general thought)

Really enjoyed the game. Is Hair Island turning into Treasure Island? He certainly got it right last night, and put our a team that ran hard the 90 minutes plus, put some nice moves together including in Wednesday's box and defended competently. There are no stars in our team (though Eze has the potential to become one) but the spirit and understanding between players, obvious on the pitch, is something I haven't seen in a QPR team for some time. It may be the kiss of death, but to me, it does look like progress.

It will be really interesting what team he selects for the Villa match?

What are the odds for the same?

True. It was a peffect stream for close to a perfect match.

I don't remember the last time I was so impressed by our global team performance.

    Very enjoyable and great entertainment.

There are many on here who were not convinced Schteeve was the right choice when appointed myself included. The dire start, brief recovery and then the appalling performances at Blackpool and Swansea which were the lowest point when the fans seemingly had turned totally against him. To his credit he's reshaped the formation and it seems to have paid off, we're showing a bit more width and not getting overrun in midfield, the defence looks more comfortable and as confidence grows we're looking capable of at least being mid-table.

Most on here are fully up when we're winning and totally down when we're losing, it's the nature of the beast that is being a supporter. This manic division will test our nerves to the very end so I'm sure the rollercoaster will take another turn...

They were talking up Eze on talksport this morning, saying what a good performance last night, what a good future he’ll have, and how he might well be part of England’s under 21 squad soon.

Oooohhhh now then have a look at this picture from last night. If I'm not mistaken this was at 1-0 when they had a header hit the outside of the post, this is the reason their striker couldn't reach it as Lynch was trying to swap shirts......good job ref and linesman didn't see it....

Wasn't that the situation where they were flagged offside anyway?

It was a good match last night. I think we have lost to worse teams than Sheffield Wednesday this season.

I heard that this morning, danger is if one of the big money contenders for promotion put in an offer for him in January, hopefully we'll be able to hang on to him but the problem with winning and playing well is we can't compete with what some of these clubs can offer him...

Thing is now he's being played in the position where he's most effective, would the so called big sides have to change their style of play to fit him in to the line up because as we've seen he's not as effective if played out wide.........clutching at straws (paper ones not plastic as they harm the environment) but he'll continue to improve with us through to the end of the season as long as he stays injury free and McClaren plays him in the No 10 role.......

An awful lot of teams play with 3 behind a striker mate.

All we can do is keep on winning points so the Players and the Directors see an implausible possibility of getting to the Promised Land next season.
