i know that, just we all have players we don't rate, some are just more vocal about it or honest than others.
Jimmy may want the best for the team, but if he had his way we'd still be starting Sakho and Moreno. He is entitled to his opinion as much as the rest of us, but wishing injury on someone because of your personal preferences doesn't sit well with some of us. If he really means it, of course - I'm still unconvinced.
fair enough saint. sakho may have worked with vvd as a pairing never know i suppose, couldn't be any worst than lovren, and sakho is more of a beast at the back. moreno i think it's more going forward than defending, but he is ****e at the back, which is his primary role and job. i get hendersons role in the team, but feel it's pointless when playing more defensive minded teams, and being captain unfortunately means more often than not will get picked. i don't get the milner thing though, he always puts in 100% and his experience is needed a lot of times.
IMO klopp's spoken volumes on sahko and whats happened to shako since at palace shows why theres not a queue round the block to have him off them. Klopp likes lovren for some reason. He has gomez.... he has matip. I note at this point his decision to bin klavan has been proved right. Gomez has been immense and nobody is talking about lack of CB cover. Why we kept moreno and he's still here and going on a free is beyond me.
Sakho has found his level, imo. Moreno is enthusiastic and has some talent, but not enough football brain. I don't believe for a second that Klopp is influenced by Henderson being captain, I think he'd drop him immediately if we had better. Of course there are better players than Hendo to be had, and if and when we get them then he will be pushed down the pecking order. Klopp has brought in alternatives, but as often happens they're not quite what was expected - at least not yet, as they struggle to adapt. For whatever reasons, the manager feels that Henderson is the best for the job at the moment, so why wish injury on him? Imo, this is more the need to be "right" than wanting the best for the team.
Agree on sahko Agree on moreno, zero brains. Agree on henderson. In the middle of a season we have what we have, we can't just swap a player for someone else. its all form within our resources. Fabinho, windy, henderson for no 6. But... Windy, keita, milner for 3 no 8 roles with lallana scraping back and not able and shaqiri tried there too. In short windy is needed for no 8 for klopp as keita isn't ready and not fit... and fabinho isn't ready either.... So wishing injury on a player is only hurting the side for the next game. We need to get on with it.
There is no kid i'd have faith in coming up. Lewis isn't up to it imo. But as a "specialist" position we bought one guy and played him and played milner there... clearly nobody has ever offered us money for moreno or we IMO would have taken it and brought someone else in.
I think we'd have bought someone regardless of whether we'd offloaded Bert or not, if the right player was there. We've seen that Klopp is very definite about who he wants and if he doesn't like what he sees he doesn't go for it. It's definitely one of the major weak areas left in the squad.
Maybe. I don't get to see much of the youth players and I'll take your word for it that there isn't anyone suitable on the way. I suspect we'd just throw Gomez or Trent over there if Robbo was injured and we were desperate.
adam lewis plays england u19 and was at tournament this year so missed any chance at playing preseason. gerrard went on record of saying he is tops but he said that about every player so maybe klopp will promote him who knows
We've played two very bad games, that one and Napoli. I'm sure Klopp has said enough is enough. At least I think I'm sure.......
I don't think we've fully fired at all yet this season. There's something just not right, but it needs to be identified and put right as soon as possible, before we get bitten on the arse.
I think we need to do it quickly because I'm concerned that we could slip up and not get out of the group.
That is a worry, 3 points tonight and we'll look a little more secure but I think we need 3 in the away game as well though.
It'll be a tight nasty game and we will just scrape by. The ref needs to watch these ****ers as vvd's ribs will be prime target. they really ought to be cannon fodder but i just feel right now we are not moving the ball quickly enough nor moving off it well enough to cut them open at will
