John Lewis is stopping selling cd players, eventually everywhere will. Their time has been and gone..Just like music tapes, video players etc. Anymore obsolete items, or what will be next to go?
There will always be some purists who want to use a camera and even old rolls of film. But in the main, these devices are now obsolete seeing as the phones going into cameras are just as good if not better. Same goes for pretty much all the things that phones can do now, like sat navs, video recording and editing, music mixing and hardware etc
I see more black ladybirds with red dots than the red ones with black dots I used to see back in the day
Digital cameras will never go in the professional world, the investment is massive at the moment and you need more than lightbox to be your saviour. It's gone right for me now, 35mm full frame digital for the enthusiast and 2 quarter square for the professionals. I said that 3 years ago at a professionals conference and got laughed at..
