As i said at half time possession is so over rated..... Possession........37/63 Shots 22/14 On Target 8/4 Corners 4/10 Fouls 10/10 It's obvious that it's what you do with possession that counts......
I thoroughly enjoyed that match. So many positives. Eze was so comfortable on the ball and makes everything look so easy.
The Officials live stream was perfect too. Not one freeze and excellent quality. Wish they were showing all the games to you folks in the UK. Sorry, just joking Clive!
TUE 23 OCT 2018 CHAMPIONSHIP QPR 3 Sheff Wed 0 please log in to view this image Tomer Hemed (grounded) netted his third goal since joining QPR on loan from Brighton QPR moved into the top half of the Championship with their third win in four matches as they convincingly saw off Sheffield Wednesday. Tomer Hemed nodded in the first for Rangers before half-time after Wednesday keeper Cameron Dawson could only parry away Pawel Wszolek's shot. Wszolek also provided his side's second as Luke Freeman doubled the lead after the break, powerfully heading the winger's cross into the far corner. Substitute Nahki Wells then wrapped up the victory with a thundering finish from Eberechi Eze's through ball for his first goal since arriving on loan from Burnley. Steven Fletcher and Adam Reach went closest to scoring for Wednesday, but QPR keeper Joe Lumley made a number of impressive saves for his third clean sheet in the past four games. Injuries forced Wednesday manager Jos Luhukay into completely changing his back four from Friday's home defeat by Middlesbrough. Despite his side having the majority of possession in the early stages, they struggled to create any clear-cut chances before Hemed grabbed his third goal of his loan spell from Brighton. Wednesday have fallen to back-to-back defeats and the Owls lost in London for a fifth successive Championship match, a run stretching back to a 1-0 victory at Fulham in August last year.
Really good performance and I love this red button thing. I could watch Eze all day and night - what a first touch. Three goals from open play is a big improvement. Not sure I agree with playing the game out from about 55 minutes onward. We were always threatening when any of of our more forward thinking players were on the ball so prefer if we go for it. So, so happy with that. Oh, and happy birthday RTID. Hope you and your wife had a great evening!

Only got back in to see the second half on the red button and I thought we were superb. As others have also said, I was wrong wanting SM out, but we must remember that things have only improved since he FINALLY stopped playing two up top with Eze out wide. Now we have Eze in the hole, with Freeman and Pavel each side of him we look a totally different team. I actually think that those three, with Cameron and Luongo behind them and the back four that started tonight is our best line up. I don't really mind who starts up top out of Hemed and Wells. We played some really good football in that second half and what a talent we have in Eze. That lad is a joy to watch. Bring on the Villa and John ****y **** face Terry!
Great win and maybe the best display, that rangers have performed since Warnock time. Watching from the ipad anyway....We have two decent strikers (hemed&wells), we have a sweet midfield (wszolek, freeman, cameron ,luongo and eze), we have a solid back four ( lynch, bidwell,Leistner and rangel) no to forget about brilliant gk Lumley. Long may it last with that line up and hope that injuries wont catch us. Urrr`ssssss!
If only we had picked up points in the first 4 games, we'd be right in the mix now, still plenty of time though. Great seeing Villa Stoke and Brentford below us.
Not wanting the baggage it can bring, but it wouldn’t be beyond credulity if someone suggested that the manager of the month postcard could possibly be winging its way loftusward sometime soon, just saying like
God I hope not, that would really put the kyboosh on things, just when they are looking up.. Sent from my STF-L09 using Tapatalk
This was a very decent Wednesday side we just put to the sword. The transformation since the start of the season is unbelievable.
What a fine all-round performance that was. Wednesday dominated possession, but mainly sideways, whilst our attacks were direct and incisive. I can't think of anyone in a hooped shirt who had a bad game. Sevens all round, but eights for Freeman and Leistner, with Freeman edging MOM. Hemed did well, but I'd still rather see Wells start on Friday. John Terry, we're waiting for you.
