when my eldest was 2 or 3 she tried to throw a tantrum in a shop cos I said no to something she wanted.
I threw myself on the floor, rolled on my back, kicked my legs about and screamed...she was so shocked she just stopped.
A couple of adults congratulated me...and my daughter never did it again!

Yes well if mine get petulant in public I do tend to mimic their manorisms, maybe slightly exaggerated, they tend to get a little moody about it at the time but we’ll always have a laugh about it later. I’m in 100% agreement with you, if you can’t talk through issues with kids there’s something you’re not doing right... and that’s usually listening to them!
