Did you have the venison? How was it? Haven't had venison in more years than I care to remember.

If she has any loyalties to her father's homeland she can be proud of Kimi. What a great drive. Hope you got to see it Yorkie. I had an almost perfect stream. Hope that is the case for the Huddersfield match.

I did have the venison which was very tender, served with a selection of seasonal vegetables, in a red wine sauce. The vegetables had been slightly over salted for my taste, meaning that I had to drink rather more water than is normal. The wines however did help to wash the taste, water of course, away. :emoticon-0105-wink:

How anyone can think it is amusing to quip about the plight of the world's poorest is beyond me..
But I guess it reveals the utter ignorance of the suffering of others.

    Morning all.

    Yorkie Health report:

I am delighted that my Hba1c has reduced from 78, 6 months ago to 48 today....... I have eventually embraced the low carb diet advocated by so many and eat virtually no carbs until lunchtime. Have even been having hypos which is actually good news for control.... and meds now reduced.

Visit to foot surgeon today to postpone op on foot which would have left me unable to walk for up to 8 weeks etc etc. Cant spare the time!... prepared to live with the pain for as long as I can....

    Have a good day

    <ok>

Morning all. Cloudy and certainly not as warm these mornings. We had to pop down to our Marie yesterday to get the Mayor to sign the forms from the DWP to confirm that we are still alive. It is very useful having a one stop place on your doorstep where you can get so many things done. While there we asked about the site that has been set up for camping cars as we will be having family come over at Christmas, and they will be travelling with their one. Checked that all the facilities were on site and the cost. No cost, it is free. They paid £35 a night in the Lake District this summer, so I think they will be happy to use our site.

Most French villages supply free facilities for motorhomes but they are extremely limited, in space and what's on offer, normally just water and electricity. There are of course many proper sites in the UK and Europe that provide much more at a cost depending on the facilities provided. These sites are also much safer, I personally know of a couple of incidents where campers have been drugged at night through the air vents whilst sleeping, broken into and robbed. Both happened in SW France.
One friend was a very fit detective who described his ordeal as extremely traumatic, I would strongly advise caution on where to park up even if it means a little extra cost and travel.

Statistics would say there is every chance of camping without incidence.

As a current member of the UK Caravan and Motorhome club I have read about numerous horrendous incidences of this kind of robbery in addition to my personal contacts. I have camped numerous times with a motorhome and caravan throughout France and Spain over the past 30 years. Knowing the potential dangers I would not take a risk with my family for the sake of a little convenience / cost.

Mornin' all. Busy day with work but a cooler day here. Very pleasant in truth but I have no time for a stroll.

See Sri Lanka are putting a giant score up. Should be an interesting chase. But England have the players who can do it. So eyes on work, ears on cricket. Must resist making all usernames and passwords cricketing terms. That reminds me:

I was working at Scottish Office (mid ninties. It is now Scottish Government). It was the Friday before the end of the five nations RU final weekend. Scotland were favourites. So the root password for their servers was set to "grand slam". Well enough to say it didn't go to their plan, but without good reason the root password couldn't be changed for a week. Us English were smiling for days <nahnah>

Enjoy whatever you are up to <cheers>

Morgan is not even worried about a record defeat. Says it all about one day cricket really...so many games with nothing really at stake so that non-one remembers them the day after. Quite fitting for our soundbite, grab the cash while you can world perhaps...or is that too cynical even for an old git?

Canaries in front 2-1 and not many minutes, well 21 mins, to go.<cheers><cheers><cheers>

Dave, Rhodes is the new Pukki. Well until the stream went with 3 mins to go Norwich played some great one touch football. I think Norwich at the Vic could happen.
