C’mon the monkey town. East coast derby this one, pikies vs the monkey hangers, in the battle of the benighted backwards ****holes. @brb , what’s the likelihood of your dilapidated ‘stadium’ retaining it’s structural integrity if the northern monkeys score first? Any other interesting 1st round ties? Can’t be arsed to look really; oh yeah, Barnet vs Bristol Rovers could be interesting. Oh, and Daggers vs Borehamwood. Another pair of ****hole towns, bound to be a lively affair.
Good Thread bro, better than that Pampers league stuff Love the Cup a total of five Kent clubs in the first round proper, although technically Bromley isn't Kent, so it's four; Gills v Hartlepool Bury v Dover Ebbsfleet (used to be Gravesend & Northfleet for those that don't know) v Cheltenham Maidstone (our nearest local rivals, i think) v Macclesfield Bromley probably having the biggest tie v Peterborough, out of that lot. And i never take the lower league teams for granted as we quite often get knocked out by them! Probably one of the most hostile to memory was when Dover knocked us out the cup some years back, the aftermath of that defeat was one of the most unpleasant i've probably ever experienced. Maidstone tend to have a good following, Ebbsfleet have a fancy looking new stand, probably built off the back of the expected Paramount Park which was always doomed for failure and Dover, Hessy our then manager left them to come back and manage us those years back, but revenge was sweet for Dover as they turned up to our place and turned us completely over, sections of undesirables then turned on the Chairman and Manager and i never want to see that again.
Haringey’s ground is just down the road from me, in White Hart Lane. So at least someone is playing football at WHL. Might even pop along to that, as it doesn’t look like Spurs new NFL sponsored stadium will be ready for our visit In December.
Didn't know they drew Wimbledon. I played against them a number of times back in the day. Our club also had a couple of our halloween parties at their club house.
Honestly can't remember, mate. It was only at youth level, not senior, Sunday League standard, albeit probably the higher end of Sunday League.
