I was attempting humour 64. I agree about Pierce though. But as someone who has never managed or coached a top team, I'll have to trust Bielsa on this one. But it's all about opinions. The thing is 64 is if Pierce was played and had a bad game then the vultures would be saying he wasn't ready to play.
I think he has already proved he is ready to play, Bielsa doesn't seem to show such concerns as he has given Shackelton & Clarke a chance to show their colours, such a shame Lewie Coyle is still out on loan
Hopefully Ayling won’t pick up an injury but so far, if Coyle had been at the club he would have been lucky to make three games, I can only assume Bielsa would prefer him getting a whole season under his belt rather than being a very bit part player?
I’ve said this before but I recall when Shackleton got a run out earlier in the season, he was praised for his forward play but bielsa flagged the trouble that came from the side he was defending. I honestly think that’s it with Pearce. I don’t get to many games so only saw him live once, v Barnsley... scored a good goal and looked good on the ball but had some problems defensively. Those that saw him more often will have a better perspective, but my gut is bielsa doesn’t trust him defensively. Why he would trust Dallas more? Well that’s an open question.
Still good enough & better than some of our players to be in match day squad. He must be ahead of our current U23's after coasting fifteen months at Fleetwood, invariably the MOTM for the League One side
I'm sure they'll come good and get the chance in time. They need more than the odd game here and there though.
