I won't support them financially if they appoint old gravy chops and have always been consistent on that. Pretty sure we won't anyway.
Depends, if they feel like it's not going to work long term then they might believe it's better to do it now when we're not in a desperate situation, therefore being able to look carefully and appoint someone who fits rather than being in desperate trouble and having to pick a 'merry go round manager' to try and save us.
When we beat Newcastle 3-0 on Saturday.......surly they wouldn't sack him then?........or they waiting for the next international break in 2/3 weeks time
Nah can only sack him after a 4-0 win surely? If this is true then I suspect failure to win on Saturday would be the final nail...
I don't think we would to be fair... It'd be ****ing hilarious watching PL whores who wanted Puel out justify the appointment though.
The signs look pretty awful for Hughes. The man himself doesn’t look happy, I don’t think I’ve once seen him smiling on the sidelines or training. The results have been awful even if the performances haven’t. We still have very little identity on the pitch and I can’t see what game we are trying to play. I have no idea who are starting 11 are and there’s no indication Hughes does either. Most ominously of all we are looking at the Newcastle game as a vital 6pointer that will potentially decide whether we stay up at the end of the season. If we the supporters don’t think we will beat anyone other than the bottom 3 for the rest of the season then I don’t see there’s anything to fear in making a change.
Agreed, might be a case of 'Well this guy is available now and we've been watching him a while, and realistically this Hughes adventure isn't going to last any more than 18 months..." Okay I've simplified it hugely but could be the general idea.
Just looked at the odds...Roberto Martinez is the favourite at 7/2................can't see that happening.
I’m not a fan of Mark Hughes, but if the Board want to get rid of him then it just underlines how clueless they are. What on earth made them think things would be any different to how they are, having watched the last 8 games of last season?
I said to my Toon mate last week: they’ll lose at home to Brighton, sack Rafa this week, appoint Fat Sam, beat us 1-0 and we’ll replace Hughes with Rafa the following week.
No idea yet, not from the usual people I talk to. I just hope whatever happens we sort it far better than last time
