Yep, I agree with most of that. I just feel that the issues have been all talked out and now we just go around in circles whilst making personal digs. I've done it too and like you, I can take it as much as give it out. Personally, I'm a little tired of it all, but, as you say, we can all choose whether to contribute or not.
Totally agree it goes round in circles sometimes and that each ‘side’ is never gonna change each other’s mind......I try use this thread as a release of the pressure of real life....maybe I get too angry sometimes but it really does help me personally......as I say.....just a pantomime.
No I am talking democracy. Just because a few people go on a march doesn’t mean the process will change. People like bob (who didn’t know) now think they know all but don’t. As for Express I don’t think I have ever bought a copy.
Agree with you and Staines Col. I was responding 2 days ago and thought ‘I have said this before’. I will be cooling this thread for a bit and just concentrating on the R’s which is more important to me than Brexit.
You have hit the nail completely square on the head fella. Before, I didn't know, I saw headlines on buses and posters of refugees and bizarre statements from both sides, so I didn't vote. Now, lies have been exposed, that were meant and probably did influence votes and I have weighed up the pros and cons. I have no problem with any laws passed from the EU, well at least I can't name any that I'm unhappy with. I have no issue with immigration. We have a 3 month rule for immigrants not paying their way, unfortunately our government have not once enforced this. I seriously don't have a problem being a member, didn't think anything was wrong with our membership. I am also serious when I say I fail to see any positives from leaving......yes we can set up new trade deals with other countries, how long will they take, will they be as lucrative. We can make our own laws.....on what exactly? We can limit immigration....I have no problem with European immigration. I want my children to be able to freely travel and work in Europe as it's on our doorstep. What I can't be doing with is all this democracy ****e and the will of the people ****e. Is it democracy when a party is voted for based on policies that they then back track on once in power? Is it democracy to blatantly lie to gain votes? Democracy to me is about being able to have the freedom to choose or change your mind. This referendum was all done in a hurry, lies were told and people believed. A leave voter voted to leave, not haggle a deal that sees us sucking from the EU's nipple. Remain voters voted to Remain, not half in but fully in. I don't honestly think there should be a 2nd referendum as the 1st was all based around ill information and another would divide the country even further. Scrap it all, have a say in the EU going forward, enforce what we are able to do anyway.

Remain voters voted to Remain, not half in but fully in. I don't believe that every Leave voter did so with complete conviction, nor did Remain voters. Many people voting Leave may well have done so wanting Britain to retain close ties with the EU, whilst may Remain voters may have done so only out of fear of the unknown. In my opinion (and as Uber suggested) the solution should be a middle way, which, whilst it satisfies no one completely, most accurately reflects the referendum vote. That is a Norway EEA outcome, and I happen to think that's where we will wind up.
Seems things are getting a bit personal in parliament too.... Politicians have condemned "vile" and "violent" language used against Theresa May over her Brexit negotiations. In an article in the Sunday Times, a Tory backbencher was quoted as saying: "The moment is coming when the knife gets heated, stuck in her front and twisted. She'll be dead soon." No matter what your view on Brexit is, and whether you think May is doing a **** job or not, the MPs responsible for these outbursts should be named, shamed, and have the Whip withdrawn from them - even removed from office. If any of us threw those remarks at our managers at work, I'm sure our desks would be cleared by the end of the day. Some of these ****ers are determined to undermine any deal, and they'll probably be the ones sipping a nice Pimms by the pool in some Carribbean hotspot whilst the rest of the nation suffer.

Another fine speech by a young Labour politician. This, I think, will be the Corbyn legacy. A Labour party not afraid to call itself Socialist and which is a proper alternative to the Tories.
Why did neither of these socialist heroes vote against the Budget tax cuts which favour the well off much more than the poor? Unlike that unreconstructed Blairite Yvette Cooper. Meanwhile, a Labour Party member posted on social media that Luciana Berger (MP Lab) is a “Zionist extremist who hates civilised people, about to get a good kicking”. Doubtless this was a hollow cowards threat, but the Labour Party have been aware of it and ‘investigating’ the perpetrator for six months. The Party did not feel it necessary to inform either Ms Berger or the police of this threat, or many others. Not an alternative to the Tories I can vote for.
