I have a very fond regard for the 1980's and 1990's City sides, the late 90's and early 00's you always went expecting to lose so if something like a great bit of skill happened or dread to think a win, it would make your weekend, since the promotions things changed and an expectation about needing to win arose and it kind of took the fun out of it, the Jan Molby, Phil Parkinson and Premier Lge Jan 09 - May 10 where particularly hard to take and stressful times.

I'd love to go back to those days on the open terrace at Moss Rose or to Gay Meadow watching Theo take on 3 men and round the keeper or see Johnny Eyre netting one but alas those days are gone.

It's nice we have had the opportunity to experience every level of professional football, something the United, Liverpool, Arsenal fans can't say or even imagine. In all honesty if their team went down one division half of them would be at Stamford Bridge or something the next season.

Yeah the 90's hold some exceptional memories for me as a City fan, think my season ticket was £50 back then and you get in to BP for £3 on matchdays.
I went to school in Beverley and most of mates supported anyone but City, think the long running joke was that the AFC in our name stood for 'Are ****ing Crap'!!
Don't get me wrong, I love where we are as a club now, but I'll never forget where we came from.
Such memories as watching Alan Fettis come as a sub up front away to Blackpool and scoring the winner are priceless!!

Couldn't agree more with this - our history is what made the last few years so special. I think you can only truly appreciate the glory of the Premiership when you've known how bad things can be and, in our case, stared relegation from the league and liquidation in the face. Just ask Blackpool fans and I'm sure they'll agree.

It is strange how the bad times stand out as much as the good times - great wins in them days where at the likes of Morecambe in the FA Cup when we'd just sold Andy Payton and played Nicky Brown and Neil Buckley up front - MENTAL!

Who else remembers the wall going over at Runcorn and the game getting abandoned and us appearing on the national news that evening - I've still got that on tape somewhere!

Experience the lows to appreciate the highs I think someone once said.

It's been a great journey in the last 20 years and hopefully it will continue, I think moving to the KC took a bit away for me, it's still not the same going there and this is over 8 years after moving.

My abiding memory of season’s past was the 97/98 season when we travelled away to Doncaster. Although it was only February they were looking like near certainties for relegation after winning only twice since the start of the season, I think we went there 91st in the Football League after playing some of the worst football I have ever experienced.
The night before the game I made a cardboard coffin shaped banner with ‘Doncaster Rovers RIP’ painted on it ready to rub salt in the wounds. Literally the minute we stepped of the coach it absolutely pissed it down with rain and it didn’t stop for the whole game. City lost 1-0 that day and I spend the full 90 minutes using my coffin sign as shelter from the rain wondering why I ever decided to support Hull City in the first place!

I do have a go at Dawson but that's only because I don't like him as captain
