Don't understand these people living in foreign countries having such a great interest in our politics and if we are in or out of Europe myself
I also don't understand why everyone assumes it is just bad for the UK if we have no trade deal with the rest of Europe, without exporting to us Germany's enconomy would take a massive hit, go for a hard brexit and watch the Euro MP's start begging for us to come back and sit around the table. I'm getting fed up putting the news on and hearing spin after spin, scaremonger after scaremonger. They ignore those countries waiting to do trade deals with us like Australia and the USA and report only the negative and always adding "possibly" I'd rather drive a Mustang or Corvette anyway, **** Germany they can stick their cars
Should just say this is the offer etc,if its a hard border for NI so be it,take it or hard Brexit,Labour and the Liberals would then in effect vote in a hard Brexit.
I wil say it again, if it was not for all the so called remoaners we would have had our deal by now, and it would have been a good deal for us and the rest of Europe. When you are negotiating and see a crack in the other parties stance you play it for all its worth to get what you want, can't really blame the EU. It's our own backstabbing MP's Who are bringing about all the problems.
When I fly back and forth to Cyprus they have two signs for passport control, Europe and Non EU, the Russians have to queue in the non. I don't admit to knowing everything in regsrds to the hard border but have no border in Ireland and anyone flying over from Ireland they get into a queue for UK and one for non at passport control. They can all fly over on the same plane, just passport control them here. If that Irish politician wants no border in Ireland don't have one, let her sort it out.
It's pretty easy. The EU exports 8% of it's totals goods and services to the UK. We export over 40% of our goods and services to the UK. Nope the countries don't want to take that 8% hit but that's much more manageable than taking a 40% hit. Especially as their economies will likely to be benefiting from new jobs and opportunities as business' leave the UK if we lose access to the single market. The German car manufacturers that have long meant to be our saviour have made it clear time and time again that they value the single market much more than they do exports to the UK because overall it's a much bigger market for them. As for the people looking to do trade deals with us, of course they are; we are a distressed seller. Americans can't wait to get their hands on the NHS, American farming can't wait to bring across their lower regulation food to the UK. Australia likewise will be happy to do trade deals which are great for their farmers but will prove terrible for ours. When it comes to trade deals bigger is better and we are about to become a lot smaller.
There is not the numbers in parliament to push that through. There'd have to be a general election first to attempt that.
The DUP who are propping up the government refuse to have a border between Northern Ireland and mainland Britain. Also if we have different regulations on goods then you are creating black market issues on the border between Ireland and Northern Ireland before you get to having to impose tariffs on goods. (You could easily solve that by staying in the single market or the customs union but both of those options have been rejected by the government).
What would have been a good deal? How has the deal been thwarted by remoaners? We've had brexit discussions led by David Davis who had nearly 2 years to get a deal and proved to be a clueless unprepared idiot who promised everything and delivered nothing and has now slunk away rather than deal with realities - that's not because of remoaners.
Then you don't understand parliament. Taking back control means more parliamentary sovereignty which means they are not the only votes that there is...
And that was always going to happen and was always a reality of leaving just as any dealings with Europe over the last 25 years have been made much harder for Prime Ministers because they have not had the backing of anti EU MP's. (to date three Tory Prime Ministers have lost their job because of Europe).
haha the land of typo.... (though I live in London and used to live in South London near our Bermondsey friends so maybe that's rubbed off on me and made me feel German...)
