Yeah, Rickie did. Always a Saint in my eyes. Lallana leaving was a real kick in the nuts, which is, I believe, the title of this thread. Lovren can **** off and die.
Yeah I remember the second half of that season and everyone on our board saying "I think I could handle just about anyone leaving bar Lallana..." The ****cunt, him.
Yeah he had loads of natural talent. Great passer and could beat a player. He was part of a very good Saints side.
Modric, 100%. By far the best player I've ever seen in a Spurs shirt. Made everything look easy and controlled a whole game from the centre of the pitch. Bale and van der Vaart were also tough ones to take but nowhere near to the level of losing Modric. We've never been able to replace Modric in the 6 years he's been gone, we've been able to replace the likes of Bale (Kane) and van der Vaart (Eriksen) in terms of the goals and match winning performances they had.
Gutted when Ruud left. A genuine great player, although it can't really be argued we improved when he left and he wasn't the primary source of goals. Was gutted when Zlatan left too! And don't get me started on Bebe or I'll start crying.
As a Watford fan, I guess John Barnes and Ashley young were the biggest ones but we knew we were never going to be able to keep them and wished them both well as they both went on to better things. David Bardsley was a kick in the nuts as he went to Oxford . In general, David Connolly aside, I've never really held anything against any player that's left us. I just wish so many of them wouldn't keep coming back and either scoring or playing a blinder against us
