This is a great read, and a good view into the mind-set of our manager! http://www.edp24.co.uk/sport/norwic...not_to_join_in_deadline_day_dramas_1_1012461?
Brilliant article- thanks Dave! I love the quote from Sam Allardyce that on deadline day you have to "avoid a panic buy that becomes a sacking buy”. I have to admit I think that SWP and Scott Dann are outstanding signings for teams at the bottom end of the premier, but you have to question why the deals happened so late in the window. There is a good chance that both players (Dann in particular) had known they had the option of QPR/ Blackburn for some time, but wanted to wait in case a 'better' deal came along. That mentality doesn't match the 'hunger' that we know and love at Norwich!
Some good points in there but not many. It mainly talked about what we already knew. It's not really relevant but I think the article was badly written as well.
What do you expect from Archant. They recycle old stories, give them a new name and publish it as a 'new' story.
I have to agree with wonky (again) This Paddy Davitt fancies himself as the new Rick Waghorn (as if one were needed) and writes in the same pompous, 'up his own arse' style. Concentrate on the content of the piece, rather than the long words and smartass techniques, Mr Davitt, or you'll end up alongside R. Wafflehorn in my room 101
Very kind of you Cromer! There are certain people out there, such as myself, who can't cope with long words. It annoys me when I have to have the dictionary next to my paper! The EDP is such a poor paper that I had to change to a better national paper. There's less about Norwich, but at least it makes sense. Don't get me started on the people who write into the editor for the EDP... Anyway, I'm glad that I was able to sit back and watch other teams panic buying and all this while I knew that Norwich were all sorted.
