To be honest, I think the partnership of Stephens and Yoshie was better last season than anything we have suffered this season with Vestergard and Hoedt involved

 

I would have started with Maya and Vest........strange one mr Hughes hope you know what your doing.

 

Can't say I'm hugely delighted to see Stephens starting. If we were going to a back four, I'd have had Bednarek as Hoedt's partner.

 

So 4-4-2 away from home against a fluid passing team and...

Wes and Jack as the CB's?

I'd have any of our CB's ahead of Jack.

Bompey are quick in attacking, Stephens and Yoshie are our quickest CBs by some distance with Hoedt third and Bedders and Vestergard miles behind

 

Bournemouth are also quite good at playing football and Wes/Jack... well.

 

Surprised at both Yoshida and Vestegaard on the bench, can't see why need both?

 

Has an established PL team ever fielded a worse CB pairing than Hoedt and Stephens?

The other 3 are better than those two at present (by quite a distance in Jacks case imo).
