Cheers man, we'll need it. Although we're top of a few things on the PL stats site (passes completed, fair play league, shortest players ) we're going to need to score some goals to get anything there! Any tips? (Other than "Buy Grant Holt"...)
We took the game to them (after the first 10 mins). They didn't like it up em! I think the secret is to not try and defend for 90 mins because they will tear you a new one. You HAVE to give them something to worry about at the other end. Best form of defence is to attack and all that. Mind you, we got dicked 3-1 so it didn't really work did it?
Hah, in fairness from what I saw of that game I don't think you were "dicked" but then again I wasn't there so no doubt someone will disagree with me. Agreed about giving them something to worry about... if Danny Graham could get his first goal against Chelsea, then, similar to Holt, that would give him so much confidence for the season, as he hasn't just scored against any Premiership team, he's scored against one of the best. I think that'd go a long way to settling early season jitters in front of goal.
I think the games there for the taking. It's certainly an advantage being the 'smaller team' as nobody expects a win, the pressure is on the 'bigger team' to perform and if things don't go their way, expect to see the crowd really get on their backs. If Swansea take the game to Chelsea, I'm sure Brendan will be looking to do just that against his former employers, I would certainly not be shocked to see The Swans come away with something (just to be clear, I mean points here). However, if Chelsea find themselves in the ascendancy then there aren't much better teams who can go on to really hurt you. Watch out for Mata, he is certainly a handful!
