Cheers ... was no chance of being clocked where I was ... not moving and with lorries all around me ... only got into work about 30 mins ago .... hour and a half after I would have normally have been here ...
I'm a contractor (external adviser) mate ... pretty much come and go as I please and get paid at a day rate ... .... but I'm sure my 'colleagues' do enjoy bright sunny days like today
Been living at my place for just over a year and load of mushrooms have suddenly sprouted up all over the garden. WTF?
Absolutely raging at work, hasn't been confirmed yet but if what I think is right then I'll be kicking right off on Monday when them ****s are in.
Think they've rota'd me in for a late shift on Christmas day which I did last year and is the only time I can see my Son. They've also given me new year off bizarrely when I've said I'll happily work all of it cos I won't be drinking or doing anything. Trying to force me out I reckon.
Call in sick. That or I’m sure someone would swap if it’s something others can do too. Do you get double time on Xmas day?
I prefer the "it ain't ****ing happening" approach, they say you shouldn't work two Christmas days in a row anyway and let alone the same shift. Me and my ex alternate each Christmas with my boy so last year I had him Christmas eve overnight till mid-late afternoon pm Christmas day and this year will be vice versa. They know that too and it's why I volunteered the late last year, and I've said I'll do the early this year if they want so if they give me the late it's clearly out of spite. I won't call in sick anyway as it won't be them personally who ends up covering it so it wouldn't be fair.
Got this bird on my case... think shes staying over the 2nd weekend after i move in... shes game. Is it a wid? ****ing is for me!!
