Best wishes to Dan on his recovery. A friend of mine deals with Junk nightclub on a professional level and spoke to the manager this afternoon on business and asked about the events of last night. Naturally he was not gossiping but he did say the police have very good cctv evidence of the incident and will have a strong case against those responsible (which backs up the early arrests). He didn't mention that the door staff were part of the incident as intimated early, but then I doubt he would one way or another to someone with only a business relationship. Sounds like Dan is on the mend which is the important thing and lets hope this guy is right and the people responsible are brought to justice.
Good luck to the guy hope he comes back to the fold soon.He had started the season well and ithink had made good progress on the field so its a shame for him but more importantly now just get back to good health. On a wider issue its very worrying that some ****ty parts of our society are desensitised to terrible acts of violence and seem to think it okay to beat another very often innocent victim to within an inch of thier lives and in some cases worse. Without over reacting i do sometimes fear whats ahead for us unless this type of crime is dealt with harshly. good luck Dan
The door staff in Junk any time I have been there have always been gentlemen. Despite me being a drunken boisterous mess the last day of last season they ushered me off into the night.
Get well soon Dan ! Living in Aberdeen, I`ve only see Dan once at St Mary`s v Tranny Rovers last season, and I thought he played very well. Could never understand why some have had a downer on him - except one lapse away at Posh with Craig MS. Anyway, I hope there is a big positive from this shocking incident - he comes back fit and well, everyone gets behind him, and becomes a fans favourite. Come on you Saints !

my thoughts are with him and his family. wishing him a speedy and full recovery. there has always been a tiny minority of people who have such a low regard for themselves and others that beating someone senseless after a night on the beer is par for their course. However, there are numerous examples of people who do good to remind us that they are in the minority. Hopefully there is a 30 stone inmate looking for a fresh untouched new cellmate when those responsible get their just deserts!!
I guess people have been quick to condemn without having any facts, it is quite possible that DS stumbled and cracked his head on the pavement, no doubt the truth will come out in due course, get well soon Dan.
Get well soon Dan I remember you loved the Saints v Pompey atmosphere when you signed but hated just watching and for that fact any other game. So want you back for the Pompey game with your never say never attitude , but any game in the red and white stripes will do mate.
