Ukraine 2002. A Mig 29 was doing aerobatics and failed to pull out of a loop. It crashed into the crowd killing 77 and injuring 543. I made the mistake of watching a video on youtube of that from one of the spectators that day
ah my immediate thought was Ramstein but it didn't look right as i remembered the Italian jet being on fire before hitting the ground.
Russins would have pounced on them if they thought they'd faked it, plus all the astronomers and radio hams.

That was another bad one. I used to go to Biggin Hill air shows as a lad, as my brother and dad were aviation mad. Always wondered whether I'd witness a crash there. There have been a few over the years, but fortunately (by luck) none have crashed into the crowd.
I'm not sure I'd even want to watch the 'safe' version tbh. The one I saw was from a spectator with a hand held video camera racing towards the scene of the crash. The aftermath is truly horrifying.
