How good was Joe Gomez last night. When I first saw him I thought he was special. We gave him away for 3.5 M. In today's market I would suggest a fee of between 30 to 40M would not be out of the question. Sorry to post a Football related matter, you can now get back to posting about Elfs and ITTV.
We are a broad church on here @DickPlumb - you are welcome to start an amateur thespian thread if you want #RearEndOfThePantomineHorse
Without a doubt, another asset that the idiot Meire gave away through her ignorance//lack of knowledge. Did she negotiate a sell-on clause for Gomez - it would pay for a lot of bottles of water. P.S: Lightning will strike twice, Konsa very quickly made captain at Brentford, and earning rave reviews
I remember the first time I saw Gomez too. A bit like remembering where I was when Kennedy got shot, or when Mrs Thatcher was forced to resign. I could not believe it when AHLL told me he was only 15. Yet he was rejected by the club at 14. Fortunately he did not accept it and kept coming to Sparrows Lane demanding a game, and they took him back. I was told this by the father of R C-C, his best friend at the club.
I thought we got a good deal for him, 3.5mill for only 30? games played, a good deal bearing in mind on who was negotiating. Apart from Scott Parker and Darren Bent, who else have we got a good deal for?
we had no choice in the matter 3.5 mill was his agents doing, Joe would not sign for us at contract renewal unless a release clause of 3.5mill was put in. nothing to do with bad deal by Meire or anyone else.
Sorry but that's absolute rubbish, without sounding like my dicks bigger than your's, I have it on absolute fact that are hands were tied.
