A manager is only as good as his players at international level. Spain's players are top class.

We only have one and he didn't play. Our best players were the kids.

What is the point of Giggs being there, He picked the team, and got them practicing all week on how to play against a better side like spain.....His game plan was bad from start to finish,, Losing is not the issue here but it was a missed opportunity to show a strong passionate crowd at our national stadium how much we have improved, but sadly we were shown up as a team that have learned nothing. Very disappointing...

Giggs may have lent of football experience but he’s a rookie manager. Hopefully he learnt a lot on Thursday night.

Kin 'el, what a complete over-reaction. Yeah it wasn't pretty, I was there, I feared 10 minutes in, a 6 or 7 mauling!! It's just one to get out of the system, a poor night, well 1st half certainly, a half to forget. Yeah Giggs didn't exactly excel with flying colours, as we can do a lot lot better, we know that. It was a ridiculous defensive formation, yes, but how much of that was Giggs' call?? Maybe Osian played a fair part in it!! The biggest thing is, will we learn from it. That's how we will judge Giggs & I personally think we will. Just as well we never sacked Coleman after Novi Sad, less than a year into his reign!!!

Ashley Williams needs to spent less time as a mainstay of our defence, needs to be back-up to the kids now. We should never have had a defence of 3, where we basically had 2 full-backs out of that 3!! Was that Osian again or Giggs?? That 3 also had no protection, from our midfield 2, Spain ran rings round Ampadu & Allen. We were much improved 2nd half, with what appeared a flat back 4 & the midfield won useful ball, Smith was great. With the added pace of Brooks/Lawrence, I thought we took it to them more, especially the latter stages. More composure & we could have easily scored at least 2 or 3 more. So we could've had a more respectable score line. Although over the whole game, where we were generally & expectedly outclassed. That score line would have flattered Wales
A lot of the promising kids, are still playing Championship too, out on loan, or in the case of Ethan, not even playing. All Spain's 2nd/3rd team are probably regulars at their top-class clubs. We've got a long way to go, but I'm not downhearted...

Also people said Giggs was outclassed by Enrique. Ffs there's a lot worse he could've been outclassed by...

    Cymru am byth..

Dai the gulf in class would be exactly the same as Swansea playing Man City. People say Giggs should have changed his approach. I fully disagree. To implement a completely new an attacking style we need to play it every game.

Once we have a fully fit squad, with Brooks, Lawrence, Woodburn and Bale in the team, we will be a very exciting, pacey side to watch.

As PGF said, hopefully he'll have learnt a lot. The last 20 minutes of the game suggest to me he did. The real test comes against ROI.

Lost v ROI under Coleman and destroyed them under Giggs but we're going backwards <laugh>

I'm also expecting nothing against Northern Ireland. Impossible task of beating them.

There were fans calling for Coleman to be sacked when we were losing 1-0 to Andorra at half time. We won the game 2-1 and Coleman then took us to the Euro semi finals.

…..and deservedly so. I thought Enrique was a disgrace and should have been sent to the stands. They can play fancy football but they don't like it up 'em!

Giggs strategy for the game was very naive, one to forget, lets hope he learns from this.................<ok>

I hope I'm wrong but I sense we'll lose this one. Quite a number of missing starting players, playing away and after two poor performances.

Edit: By "this one" I obviously meant against ROI. Even I could predict the outcome of the Spain game after the fact <laugh>
